The business was led by the Executive Chairman and had undergone a significant turnaround transformation, developing a clearly defined strategy which had markedly improved competitive performance. Bailey Montagu were retained to identify a highly talented Chief Executive, who would continue the execution of the strategy and deliver strong growth and shareholder value.
The brief required us to identify and secure an individual who had operated within the retail space, with demonstrable experience of service enhancement and value-added solutions. The organisation is very much a customer/people focussed environment and therefore required an inspirational leader with an ideas based approach and an open personality. A strong culture of shareholder intervention existed requiring a strong, confident leader, capable of pulling together ideas, whilst complementing and executing the group strategy.
